Amodu, others uncertain about resumption date

The assumption of duty by the newly employed technical directors of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is still controversial as the scheduled Monday, June 10, date is no longer feasible.
The three Nigerian coaches, Amodu Shuaibu, Kashimawo Laloko and James Peters were recently engaged by NFF for various technical department positions.
But Newswatch Sports gathered that the directors, who were expected to start work next week have said they would not be assuming duty until all legal details about their contracts are tidied up. 
But they might have to wait longer as the legal department of the NFF seem not to be in a hurry to release the contract letters to them.
“We are supposed to assume duty on Monday next week, but that may not be possible because we are yet to sign our contracts letters. And it will be unwise for us to start work when the paper work has not been tidied up. I really do not know what is delaying it but we will resume whenever they are ready for us,” one of the technical directors told Newswatch Sports.
However, further investigation revealed that the delay by the NFF legal department to release the contract paper is on the instruction of the leadership of the federation. We gathered that there are still some grey areas in the contract to be addressed by NFF.
The three technical directors were appointed after several delays and intrigues. The initial arrangement to employ a Belgian, Tom Sainfiet was botched after the Nigeria Coaches Association protested against his appointment. They argued that the position should be given to a Nigeria coach.
The Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi then ordered that the appointment of Saintfiet be stopped which then paved way for the three top Nigerian coaches.
