Dolphin FC force Pillars to draw

Hosts, Dolphin FC of Port Harcourt came from behind to salvage a point in Saturday’s Nigeria Professional Football League clash against table toppers Kano Pillars as their Week 17 clash ended in a 1-1 draw.
Before Saturday’s impressive display by Pillars, they have been awful on the road especially in their visits down South where they have conceded a basket full of goals in weeks past.
It was however a different kettle of fish on Saturday when Kabiru Umar stunned the hosts with his 10th minute strike to put the Pyramid Boys ahead.
Pillars kept their lead all through the first half but were soon penetrated in the early stages of the second half when Fred Okwara scored in the 47th minute to equalize for the host and register  his seventh goal of the season.

Dolphin would rather see Saturday’s result as two home points lost rather than revel in squeezing a point away from the visiting Pillars team which finished the game with 9-men owing to card and injury issues.
