Yobo denies England switch
Yobo was richly successful in his six year spell at Everton and has been linked with newly-promoted side, Hull City and Cardiff City as the two teams prepare for life in the Premiership.
The 32-year-old defender joined Fenerbahce from Everton for €2.5 million last season and made 34 appearances last term.
Fenerbahce are facing pressure as competition for foreign space increases. The Turkish Football Federation only permits six foreign players on the field at any one time.
Fenerbahce now have 11 non-Turkish players and the Turkish Football Federation have just introduced a ruling which only permits six foreign players to be included in team selection for the 2013-14 season.
But despite this damning reality, the player, in an interview, was unequivocal when he declared that he would not quit Fenerbahce. He said his family has settled down well in the city of Istanbul and he is keen to see off the remaining two years left on his contract.
“I still have two-years left on my contract. My son goes to school in Istanbul and my family is happily settled in the city. I have no intentions of leaving
“I am undergoing stem-cell therapy in the US and will be ready to take part in pre-season training,” he said.
